You Can Call Me Abe

You Can Call Me Abe

Abram and Sarai set out for an unknown destination and after a lifetime of wondering, found themselves and God’s purpose for their lives. The process of discovering our identity in Christ is a life-long pursuit that requires faith in God through all the challenges of life. Join us for week 6 of What’s in a Name as we discuss God’s purpose for our lives.

Passage:

Genesis 17

Principle:

Process: God does in you what He wants to do through you.

Caution: Delays in God’s promise never justify detours from God’s plan

Outcome: The image of God revealed through His people

Practice:

Prayerfully answer these questions:

  1. What is/has God done in you that He can now do through you?
  2. Are you experiencing a delay in God’s promises?
  3. Have you detoured from God’s plan?
  4. Is your life a reflection of Jesus?

Daily Readings:

This week’s daily Bible reading plan continues our journey through the minor prophets. Remember, the distinction between major and minor is not based on the importance of the prophet or his message, but rather on the length of the book itself.

Day 3: Isaiah 50 – 51
Day 4: Isaiah 52 – 53
Day 5: Isaiah 54 – 55
