The words of the Lord’s Prayer are perhaps the most recited in all of human history. But what exactly is the Lord’s Prayer? Jesus offered these words as a template for prayer and a pattern for understanding our relationship with God. Join us for the final message in Fully Devoted as we learn to pray like Jesus.
Passage:
Luke 11:1-13
Principle:
To live like Jesus lived, we must pray like Jesus.
Practice:
Know God
- Our Hallowed Father
- More reliable than our closest neighbor or most trusted friend
- More loving than your own father or than you would be to your own children
Understand His plan
- Heaven’s invasion of earth
Depend on Him
- His provision
- His grace and mercy
- His guidance
Await His response
- And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. – Luke 11:9-10
