Jim was born in Fayetteville, NC and grew up in Jacksonville where in 1982 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served for over 20 years during which time he became Section Chief/Senior Flight Mechanic on Air Force One serving George H.W. Bush, William Clinton and George W. Bush. He traveled to 41 countries and was onboard on 9/11 when the world changed. He retired in 2002 and moved back to Jacksonville with his three boys: Christopher, Thomas and Jacob. Jim began attending Southside in 2002 and quickly became involved in the Student Ministry, Missions and fulfilling the role of Deacon. In 2004, he met Vickie and in 2005 they were married and along with her two children, Kacee and Korey, and his three boys they became a family. Jim has a heart for missions and is proud to be a servant at Southside. He looks forward to serving Southside for many years as we move forward in Kingdom work.
