Call to Prayer

Extraordinary times calls for extraordinary prayer.  As Christ’s ambassadors, we are called to intercede for all people and seek the welfare of our city (see 2 Corinthians 5:20, Ephesians 2:11-22, & Jeremiah 29:7). Because we take this high calling seriously and because we believe God is the only person who can heal our land from both the plague of COVID-19 and the scars of racism, violence, hatred, and injustice, we are calling the members of Southside Baptist Church to Forty Days…

Beach Baptism

Come to Dolphin Plaza at Hanna Park to enjoy the sun and surf. (Mention “Dolphin Plaza” to receive $3 discounted entry, cash only) At 5:00 p.m. we will enjoy a boxed dinner, followed by the celebration of baptism, worship, and communion. Payne Stewart Golf Camp

On July 27 – 31, we have been invited to be a pilot camp for the new Payne Stewart Golf Camp. It will be held at church for 4 through 7-year-olds (9:00 a.m. – noon). Children will be led by college golfers who will teach them the fundamentals of the game. The cost will be $115 per child. REGISTRATION

Preschool – Wednesday Groups

Preschool groups are offered at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesdays, for our 3-5 year olds (not yet in Kindergarten). Each night, preschoolers will sing along to high energy songs, listen to an age appropriate lesson, watch videos, play games, and more. ETC (extra time of care) is also offered at 6:30 p.m., for children 2 and under.

Wednesday Worship

We gather together each Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m., for worship in the Maguire Fellowship Center. If you can’t join us live, you can access the service on Facebook and YouTube or by going to our website. The service will continue to be available throughout the week as well as on our podcast which can be accessed wherever you get your podcasts.

SALT Meeting

Our third Quarter SALT meeting will take place on campus on Sunday, July 19, at 5:30 p.m. A boxed dinner will be provided for those who RSVP.  This meeting is critical as we roll out our plans for the fall and a full reopening of the campus. For those who cannot join us on campus, we will live stream the meeting. Our Deacon Body will meet immediately afterward. Xtreme Bible Camp – Rocky Railway

Xtreme Bible Camps will be offered from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., for children who have completed grades K-6. The cost is $75, with a multi-child discount, and includes a t-shirt. Children will need to bring their own lunch, except on Pizza Friday.

Invest Camp

Invest Camp will have students (grades 6-12) serving the community during the day and worshipping together each night! This in-town overnight camp, July 6-10, will stretch students and give them the opportunity to unwind and recharge. The cost is $250/student (scholarships available). Join us Sunday, July 5, at 7:00 p.m., on Facebook and YouTube for an evening of song. Listen along as we’re led in patriotic music to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Basketball Camp

On June 22–26, we will be offering basketball camp. Whether you have never touched a ball or you are an “all-pro” this camp is for you. Boys (completed grade 2 – 5) will run from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. and girls (completed grades 2-5) will meet be from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. The cost is $55 per child (includes a t-shirt). 

Children – Wednesday Groups

Each Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m., kids (grades K-5) get together to worship God in a manner that is developmentally appropriate and allows them to draw closer to Christ. KidWorship encompasses all the elements of “adult” worship, including prayer, songs, scripture, and a message. We will add in a few games and lots of energy to truly engage the children with the Gospel message.
