Children – Sunday Groups

Each Sunday, at 9:00 a.m., kids (grades K-5) get together to worship God in a manner that is developmentally appropriate and allows them to draw closer to Christ. KidWorship encompasses all the elements of “adult” worship, including prayer, songs, scripture, and a message. NextGen Worship

Pre-K and KidWorship allows children to draw closer to God while worshipping in a developmentally appropriate way. This time of worship includes prayer, songs, scripture, and the Gospel message with games and lots of energy added in to truly engage children.  We love families to worship together, so this is just an option. Club 456

Club 456 is an opportunity for students currently in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade to begin forming relationships with peers, enjoy off-campus opportunities, service opportunities, and growing their faith. Friends are always welcomed and encouraged! We will meet on the third Sunday of each month, following worship until 1:00 p.m., for lunch, devotion, and games. This group is intended to disciple students in those “tween” years and help them learn about the world outside of them while they go through this stage…

Xtreme Bible Camp – Queen Esther

Xtreme Bible Camps will be offered from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., for children who are 4 years old through completed grade 6. The cost is $75, with a multi-child discount, and includes a t-shirt. Children will need to bring their own lunch, except on Pizza Friday.

Wee Praise in the Park

Join us in Balis Park for high-energy praise music, bubbles, fun activities, and a short devotion. Wee Praise is geared toward Pre-K children and families, but all are welcome! We’ll gather together on the last Saturday of each month. Email Margaret Furnas, Preschool Director, for more information.

SOS Overnight Camp

CLUB 456 (kids in grades 4 – 7) will spend June 27 – 30 at New Ebenezer Retreat Center in Rincon, GA fulfilling a real need and performing a great service. They’ll enjoy a week of hard work and fellowship with one another and share the ministry of Christ. COST: $250/child

CentriKid at SSBC

camp by day. home by night. We need help. We need more than a how-to guide, we need an example. Kids (grades 1-6) will discover what it means to be imitators of Christ during the week of July 5 (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Jesus is the ultimate example that we should follow as Christians and we will be taking a look at scriptures that help us know Jesus and walk as Jesus walked. COST: $192/child

Karen English Service

The Southside Karen Baptist Church will be hosting an English speaking worship service on the Second Sunday of each month.

Basketball Camp

On July 12 – 16, we will be offering Basketball Camp. Whether you have never touched a ball or you are an “all-pro” this camp is for you. Children who have completed grades 1 – 3 will play from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. and those who have completed grades 4-6 will meet from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. The cost is $30 per child (includes a t-shirt). 

Payne Stewart Golf Camp

Payne Stewart Golf Camp will be back at Southside on July 26 – 30. Children, 4 – 9 years old, will be led by college golfers who will teach them the fundamentals of the game. COST: $115/child

Xtreme Bible Camp – One Way

NextGen Midweek

Midweek NextGen programming is available each Wednesday, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., for preschool (babies – PreK 4), elementary (grades K-5), and students (grades 6-12). PRESCHOOL & ELEMENTARY During the Good News Club, kids are introduced to an exciting Bible lesson, songs, Scripture memory, a missions story, and fun games all the while introducing the Gospel of Jesus and discipling them in the Word of God.
