Southside Missions

Missions in the church is part of the mission of the church which is, in turn, part of the mission of God (missio Dei) in the world. At Southside our mission to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ is, we believe, part of God's larger mission of redeeming a fallen world.

In support of that mission, Southside missions engages in a wide variety of programs, ministries, and formational activities. Some of those missions enterprises take place half way around the world, such as Southside's partnership with the Christians of Ethiopia or in Costa Rica where Southside's student ministry traveled to assist a young church and build homes with Habitat for Humanity. Some of those missions enterprises take place right around the corner such as Southside's ministry to the homeless of Jacksonville through the I.M. Sultzbacher Center for the Homeless or through Southside's participation in Jacksonville's HabiJax program - the largest chapter of Habitat for Humanity in the world.

No matter the location, Southside is committed to being a part of expanding the Kingdom wherever that may be.
