Women's Ministry

Women today have a myriad of responsibilities that vie for their time and attention. Realizing the juggling act that women do each day to balance the multiple and competitive demands on their lives, Southside's Women's Ministries offers spiritual resources to women to provide them opportunities to grow as persons, to deepen their discipleship in Jesus Christ, and to experience a time out from the daily grind to form bonds of Christian community and support.

Offering opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, and Bible study, the Women's Ministry helps women focus their attention on developing a growing relationship with Jesus Christ - the ultimate source of guidance for daily life.

Heart to Heart

Women are an important and vital part of the life and ministry of Southside Baptist Church. Their leadership in the life of the church is varied and far-reaching. One of the ways women lead in the life of Southside is by encouraging and supporting discipleship-building activities such as prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and missions.

The Heart to Heart Women's Ministry seeks to encourage women to grow spiritually, personally, and relationally with Jesus Christ. In activities ranging from church-wide teas, to courses on prayer and spiritual formation, to missions activities women at Southside lead the way in the church's mission of leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

May 10 – Spa Day

Join us from 9 a.m. until noon for a day of relaxation, pampering and revival of our bodies and spirits!  We hope everyone will begin their Mother's Day Weekend with this wonderful event. We will have different areas where you can explore tips and techniques for hairstyling, skin care, make up application and nutrition! The cost is $5 per person. Fall Talent and Craft Day

In reviewing the surveys of interest, a craft day where talents and craft skills of church members are shared was high on the list.  We are in the process of planning this type of event for the fall in time to make all your own Christmas presents!  Let us know if you are interested in participating by teaching your craft!
